Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix Scrub Review

I was very excited to give the Nip+Fab Glycolic Facial Scrub a go after a friend recommended it to me for my congested skin. Although my acne has improved massively since taking Lymecycline, I still cant shake the lumps and bumps from blocked pores (forever blowing out my birthday candles wishing for smooth glowing skin). I’m quite stingy with how much I’m willing to spend on beauty products while I’m still on a budget, so the fact that you can pick this up for £6.63 at Boots is a total win. And as so many people have raved about this in the industry I was really keen to give it a go!

First Impression
This product smells amazing; who knew grapefruit could smell so delicious in something so inedible! This refreshing fragrance is perfect for when I wash my face first thing in the morning. You really don’t need to use much either which is great – I’m sure this tube will last me a while! On application it does feel quite abrasive compared to other facial exfoliants I have tried but there isn’t any discomfort. Word of warning, keep clear of your eyes – if you think it’s a good idea to skip a step in your routine and try to take your makeup off with this product your eyes will suffer for your laziness (learnt this the hard way).

Tried & Tested
After a month of using the Nip+Fab Glycolic Scrub Fix I have to say, quite uncontroversially, that I do think it is an excellent product for how much I paid for it. My skin definitely feels a lot softer and it had reduced a lot of the congestion in my cheeks and nose. I use the product 2-3 times a week while washing my face over the sink or in the shower. I initially worried that it might irritate or dry out my skin, but paired with my daily moisturiser I have had no problems at all. So overall a great product!
